The present invention relates to a device and a corresponding method for producing knitwear using a knitting machine and a roving warping and bonding unit, which comprises a roving supply unit having at least one roving, a drawing unit coupled with the roving supply unit, a spinning nozzle unit arranged downstream of the drawing unit in the roving conveyance direction of the device, configuring a fiber bonding path by means of pressurization, and a counter-rotating end thread tensioning roller pair limiting the fiber bonding path, arranged downstream of the spinning nozzle unit in the roving conveyance direction, wherein the device has at least one blowing device for blowing out of the spinning nozzle unit and/or of the drawing unit, and at least one suction device for suctioning loose fibers from the spinning nozzle unit and/or from the drawing unit. In the present invention, the suction device and the blowing device are connected to a blowing and suction system, wherein the suction device has a suction air purification unit comprising at least one blower device, and at least one suction air outlet of the suction air purification unit is connected to at least one air channel passing above the at least one end thread tensioning roller pair, which air channel has at least one channel opening which is aligned on or along the spinning nozzle unit and/or with or along the drawing unit.
