The invention relates to packaging (15) for a doner or the like, said packaging being made of a cardboard which is suitable for food. The packaging (15) has a receiving part (1) for receiving the doner and a lid element (16). The receiving part (1) has a box-like main part (2) with a base (3), two opposing longitudinal lateral walls (4), and two opposing transverse lateral walls (5). The receiving part (1) has two webs (8) which are arranged on the transverse lateral walls (5) of the main part (2) and extend outwards from the main part (2) beyond the upper edge (6) of the main part (2) in an opening direction (7) of the packaging (15). The doner is completely enclosed by the receiving part (1) and the lid element (16) when the doner is arranged in the receiving part (1) and the lid element (16) is arranged on the receiving part (1) in a closed position.
