METHOD FOR PROVIDING READING SERVICE AND ELECTRONIC READER

A method for providing a reading service and an electronic reader. The method comprises: acquiring a target content point in a reading object (S202); reading a relevant data file of the target content point (S204), wherein the relevant data file is used to record another content point relevant to the target content point and a specific chapter position where the other content point appears in the reading object; converting the relevant data file to obtain a bookmark (S206); marking the bookmark on the target content point (S208), wherein the bookmark marked on the target content point is used to provide a reading service, enabling a user, upon triggering of the bookmark, to read the other content point related to the target content point. The method solves the problem of reading inconvenience caused by an inability to automatically connect related content points in traditional electronic readers.
