Disclosed is an apparatus of improving digital magnetic compass automatic calculation comprising: a digital magnetic compass (DMC) measurement module measuring azimuth, a high angle, and an inclination angle in a current position; a DMC calculation graphic user interface (GUI) module displaying an automatic compensation range of the azimuth and the high angle by magnetism measured in the measurement module with a predetermined area, and displaying two lines which mutually cross over the inclination angle; and a DMC automatic calculation module automatically initiating digital magnetic compass automatic calculation when a crossing point of the lines displayed in the DMC calculation GUI module is placed in the automatic compensation area. As stated above, in accordance with the apparatus of improving digital magnetic compass automatic calculation, an area in an error range of DMC calculation is predetermined to initiate automatic calculation in a relevant range to reduce a phenomenon restricted by accuracy of the DMC calculation by a user in a DMC calculation method having a GUI shape and, more effectively, quickly and accurately performs the DMC calculation. More specifically, efficiency of the DMC calculation is able to be improved more by an optimum area size in various conditions and situations as a size of an area in an error range is set based on various conditions such as an object, a DMC measurement posture, or the like having an effect on a magnetic field around the area.
