The present invention discloses a handheld push-up device having a shock-absorbing and elastic support function, including a base, an elastic unit and an extension rod. The base is provided with the elastic unit, and the extension rod is installed in the elastic unit. A direct impact force transmitted by an arm is reduced by the elastic unit which can avoid a physical injury when the user pushes the extension rod downward by using both hands and which acts as a support force for a novice or a person having an inferior physical strength,;
