The present invention relates to a composition for a cataplasm which can impart a strong moisturizing effect to the skin, a cataplasm comprising the same and a method for producing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition for a cataplasm, which comprises: 30 parts by weight of glycerin; 0.5-5 parts by weight of a water-soluble synthetic polymer; 2-7 parts by weight of a water-soluble polysaccharide polymer; 0.5 parts by weight of polysorbate 80; 0.5 parts by weight of grape seed oil; 0.01 parts by weight of EDTA-2Na; 0.02 parts by weight of tartaric acid; and 0.01 parts by weight of aluminum glycinate, based on 100 parts by weight of purified water. In the composition, the water-soluble synthetic polymer comprises sodium polyacrylate and polyvinyl alcohol at a weight ratio of 1.5:0.2; and the water-soluble polysaccharide polymer comprises agar, cellulose gum and locust gum at a weight ratio of 1.5:1:1.5. The composition for a cataplasm according to the present invention rapidly and effectively hydrates the skin and supplies water sufficiently to the skin, thereby providing a cosmetic effect. In addition, the cataplasm according to the present invention can provide a high moisturizing effect in a short time when it is applied to the skin, and thus shows excellent convenience of use.
