The present invention relates to a method for preparing a TiO_2 paste composition and a light scattering layer for a solar cell using the same and, more particularly, is to prepare a TiO_2 paste composition which is effective for improving photocurrent characteristics and to make the same used as a light scattering layer of a solar cell. According to various embodiments of the present invention, the TiO_2 paste composition can be prepared without a separate sintering step, and the light scattering layer using the prepared TiO_2 paste composition can realize a disk-shaped particle structure. The structure has a remarkable effect for improving a photocurrent value when the structure is applied as a photoelectrode of the solar cell. The light scattering layer of the present invention comprises TiO_2 having the disc-shaped particle structure having the diameter of 500 nm to 5 m.
