METHOD TO CALCULATE PIPE LOAD FOR PIPE SUPPORT DESIGN

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method to calculate a pipe load, comprising: (a) a step of performing a load interpretation of a major pipe from the pipes of a hull by using a pipe stress interpretation program; (b) a step of supposing a load value on a pipe which is not the major pipe from the pipes; and (c) a step of using the values obtained from the steps (a) and (b) and recalculating the load of the pipe of the hull. The conventional technology is unable to identify a precise pipe load applied to a pipe support and to accurately consider each load condition in accordance with the requirements. However, according to the present invention, the load on a pipe support can be precisely considered for interpretation by using a value obtained by a load interpretation on all pipes as well as the major pipe. Specifically, the present invention can provide an efficient design in FPSO and offshore plants, which consider strict requirements, thereby reducing production costs.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
