METHOD OF CONTROLLING GEARSHIFTING OF AUTOMATED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

The present invention relates to a method of controlling gear-shifting of an automated manual transmission capable of controlling transmission to shift a gear to a shiftable gear position by providing a gear stage position appropriate for a current driving condition for a driver when a transmission mode is switched to a manual transmission mode during driving and then determining a transmission condition when the driver requires transmission. To do this, the method of controlling gear-shifting of an automated manual transmission includes: a step of determining a gear position appropriate for a current driving condition and providing the gear position for a driver when a transmission mode is switched to a manual transmission mode during driving; a step of determining whether a gear can be shifted to a transmission gear position the driver wants when the driver inputs a transmission request during driving in the manual transmission mode; and a step of controlling the transmission to a shiftable gear position when the gear cannot be shifted to the gear position that the driver wants as a result of the determination. Accordingly, the method of controlling gear-shifting of an automated manual transmission can maintain the level of fuel efficiency similar to that of an automatic transmission mode even though a vehicle is driven in a manual transmission mode by providing an optimal gear position appropriate for the current driving condition for a driver such that the driver considers the optimal gear position in transmission when the vehicle is driven in the manual transmission mode, can prevent a damage to a transmission or an engine generated when the gear is shifted into an unavailable gear position by determining the transmission condition when the driver requires the transmission and then controlling that the gear is shifted to an available gear position.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
