The present invention relates to a protection cap, preventing slag from being introduced to a sampler extracting molten steel and comprising: a head unit covering a molten steel inlet of the sampler; and a skirt unit extended downward along the circumference of a lower end of the head unit, connected to a portion having the molten steel inlet of the sampler, formed to be extended downward, and having a plurality of slits spaced from each other along the circumference of the head unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
