METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING MEAT QUALITY IMPROVEMENT IN BERKSHIRE PIG USING MYC GENE OF BERKSHIRE PIG, AND SNP MARKER AND PRIMER SET ASSOCIATED THEREOF
The present invention relates to a method for identifying the meat quality improvement in Berkshire pig using an MYC gene of Berkshire pigs, and SNP marker and a primer set associated thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for identifying the meat quality improvement of Berkshire pig by confirming that the mutation in an MYC gene of the Berkshire variety has a significant correlation with the acidity and the heating loss of the muscle and using the MYC gene as a molecular marker for improving meat quality. The present invention also provides a method for selecting a breeding pig of a Berkshire variety using an SNP assay kit and an SNP marker for improving meat quality of Berkshire pig including the primer set.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
