Enhanced network operations where UE context aware reports are requested in network management are described. The set of conditions is provided to the UE by the serving base station that triggers the UE to send the status report to the serving base station. The set of conditions includes at least one non-cellular UE condition. The UE monitors for conditions and then, if detected, obtains reporting information for a status report including one or both of non-cellular and cellular UE information. The UE sends a status report having reporting information to the serving base station, which uses the information to make a decision regarding network operation management. The serving base station may manage such network operations by sending updated or modified configuration information to the UE or by sending commands to other network entities to prepare resources for predicted future UE communications.
