Disclosed is an apparatus and method of determining a channel survey prioritization. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus to determine channel survey prioritization comprises: a route management portion to generate a route density based on an automatic identification system (AIS) history data; an index management portion to calculate a bottom margin depth indicator value based on a draft information extracted from the AIS history data; and a priority management portion to determine a numbering priority of a port based on the bottom margin depth indicator value.
