The present invention relates to a gene composition capable of detecting tag SNP markers selected using linkage disequilibrium values, a DNA chip, and a method for analyzing single nucleotide polymorphisms of Hanwoo using the same. The composition or DNA chip can be advantageously used for breeding and breeding of Korean beef cattle, because the number of SNP markers to be detected is significantly reduced as compared with the conventional 50k chip and the genome selection and analysis of the beef cattle can be performed at low cost.
