The present invention relates to a thin film of Cu ₂ ZnSnS ₄ (CZTS) / RTI layer. The CZTS material is nanoparticles prepared by colloid synthesis in the presence of unstable organic thiols. The organic thiol serves as the sulfur source and capping ligand of the nanoparticles.
