BRD4-E2F2 Method for Screening a Composition for Preventing or Treating cancer using BRD4-E2F2 cell cycle regulation

The present invention relates to a method of screening for a composition for preventing and treating cancer by using the regulation of bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4)-E2F transcription factor 2 (E2F2) cell cycle. By effectively screening for a candidate material capable of inhibiting the binding of BRD4 and E2F2, the present invention can be advantageously used as a highly reliable screening means for anticancer drugs. Additionally, a compound of the present invention exhibits a significant therapeutic effect against liver cancer by reducing the expression of E2F2 through inhibiting the binding of BRD4 and E2F2, and thus can be beneficially used as an agent for preventing and treating liver cancer. Further, by measuring the binding level of BRD4 and E2F2, the present invention may be beneficially used in providing information on prognosis of liver cancer patients.
