One embodiment of the present invention provides a method for separating and recovering valuable metal from a wasted denitrification catalyst, comprising: a step of manufacturing a mixture containing a wasted denitrification catalyst containing valuable metal, an aluminum containing substance, sodium chlorate (Na_CI_O_3), and a calcium compound; and a step of reduced melting the manufactured mixture and separating the generated slag and an alloy. The present invention adds values to a resource from an industrial waste.
