Environmentally friendly blast furnace process for pig iron production with use of renewable energy, characterized in that recirculated CO2-free top gas preheated as reducing gas by means of a recuperator to 350 ° C, then heated before introduction into the blowing device through a plasma torch to ~ 900 ° C and in the blast furnace by combustion the injected substitute reducing agent is heated to a temperature of ~ 2000 ° C.
