PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a used paper processing apparatus and a used paper processing method which, when heating the leading part of a processed product, can appropriately heat it even when there is a decrease in temperature due to heat transfer from the processed product, evaporation heat, or the like.SOLUTION: The used paper processing apparatus comprises: a processing part for subjecting used paper to prescribed processing; a heating part 72 for heating a belt-like processed product obtained by processing in the processing part; and a control part for controlling the operation of the processing part and the heating part 72. The control part comprises a high-temperature heating control part for controlling the heating part 72 so that the leading part of the belt-like processed product is heated at a higher temperature than a subsequent part. There is also provided the used paper processing apparatus in which, in the configuration, the control part comprises a leading thickness control part for controlling the processing part so that the leading part of the processed product is formed to be thicker than the subsequent part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
