PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip scattering prevention tool and a chip scattering prevention method in which the scattering of chips is prevented and the chips can be collected.SOLUTION: A chip scattering prevention tool includes: a main body including an insertion part cylindrically formed so as to insert a perforation machining tool, and an opposite part formed to be opposed to a drilling surface at the side of one end of the insertion part; a magnet detachably provided to the periphery around one end of the insertion part in the main body, and attracted to the drilling surface in a state across the opposite part when the opposite part of the main body is opposed to the drilling surface while being attached to the periphery around the one end of the insertion part; and a lid detachably provided to the other end of the insertion part in the main body, and closing an opening of the other end of the insertion part when attached to the other end of the insertion part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
