PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting a buried depth of a loop coil capable of setting a buried depth in a conveyor belt which can improve the durability of the loop coil without performing tests using a large number of samples, and a method for manufacturing the conveyor belt with this loop coil buried therein.SOLUTION: In a case where a two-dimensional or three-dimensional FEM analysis model 1A for a real conveyor belt 1 is prepared and a falling object W of predetermined specifications is dropped onto an upper cover rubber 3 from above the upper cover rubber 3 in the analysis model 1A, an appropriate buried depth of a loop coil 6 in the real conveyor belt 1, namely a rubber thickness t between a core layer 2 and a loop coil 5, is set based on at least one of a main stress or an amount of deformation occurring in the loop coil 5 in the analysis model 1A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
