PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovery of valuables from a wasted lithium ion battery, by which valuables of especially an electrode or the like can be efficiently collected without causing embrittlement thereof regardless of specifications of a wasted lithium ion battery, such as the type thereof.SOLUTION: A method for recovery of valuables from a wasted lithium ion battery is arranged for collecting valuables from a roasted product obtained by roasting a wasted lithium ion battery. The method comprises: a step A of obtaining information concerning specifications of a casing of a wasted lithium ion battery; a step B of setting at least one of a roasting temperature range and a roasting time range based on the information concerning the specifications of the casing thus obtained; and a step C of roasting the wasted lithium ion battery at a temperature within the roasting temperature range for a time within the roasting time range.SELECTED DRAWING: None
