PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection device of an inspected object, that accurately and rapidly without omission inspects a peripheral surface or an entire side face of the inspected object having a three-dimensional shape, and precisely detects presence of defects such as surface flaws.SOLUTION: A visual inspection device 1 of an inspected object includes: a rotary table 5 on which an inspected object W is placed and which rotates intermittently; two light emitting means 7 and 9 which are arranged around the rotary table 5 in order to irradiate a peripheral surface ws of the inspected object W with two kinds of color light L1 and L2 differing in wavelength; a color camera 10 which is disposed around the rotary table 5 in order to photograph the peripheral surface ws of the inspected object W; spectroscopic means 11 and 12 which disperse an image of the peripheral surface ws of the inspected object W photographed by the camera 10, for each of the two kinds of color light L1 and L2; and image analysis means 15 which detects an inspection area from an image of one color light L2 obtained by the spectroscopy, and further detects presence of defects on the basis of an image of the other color light L1 obtained by the spectroscopy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
