PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a similar sentence generation method of identifying a similar sentence with high accuracy, while reducing search cost on a database of a language model.;SOLUTION: A similar sentence generation method includes: inputting a first sentence; extracting one or more second phrases having the same meaning as a first phrase, out of a plurality of phrases constituting the first sentence, from a first database; calculating an N-gram value, on the basis of a context dependence value corresponding to the one or more second phrases, on the basis of a second database; extracting one or more successive third phrases including the second phrases corresponding in number to the N-gram values, in one or more second sentences formed by replacing the first phrase in the first sentence with the one or more second phrases; calculating appearance frequency of the third phrases in a third database; determining whether the calculated appearance frequency is equal to or larger than a threshold; and employing the second sentences, as a similar sentence of the first sentence, when the appearance frequency is determined to be equal to or larger than the threshold, to be output to an external device.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
