PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium member excellent in abrasion resistance and durability.SOLUTION: A base material 1 is a titanium alloy. A lamellar titanium boride coating 2 of a thickness of 1 μm or more is formed on the surface of titanium member. Nickel and phosphorus permeate into the base material 1 below the titanium boride coating 2. A peak concentration of the phosphorus is present inside the titanium boride coating 2. The phosphorus is not substantially present inside the peak concentration part 3 of the phosphorus, while the nickel permeates there in a dispersion state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
