PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for Tatsutaage enabling producing high-quality Tatsutaage industrially, the Tatsutaage having an external view peculiar to Tatsutaage with an adequate convexoconcave feeling and with a white powder sprayed feeling, as well as having a texture with excellent crispy and biting feeling.SOLUTION: Provided is a coating liquid for Tatsutaage containing: at least one kind of starch (component A) selected from wheat starch, tapioca starch, corn starch, and potato starch; and an emulsifier (component B) containing fatty acid ester of glycerin (component B1) whose HLB is 3 to 5 and sucrose fatty acid ester (component B2) whose HLB is 3 to 11, but substantially not containing fat.
