Polymer-free method for transferring graphene and graphene grown on graphene and hydrophobic substrates

An improved method for transferring graphene from a forming substrate to a target substrate is disclosed herein. Specifically, the methods described herein are useful for the transfer of monolayers of graphene grown by high quality chemical vapor deposition from a metal, eg, copper, substrate by non-polymeric methods. This improved method provides a graphene material with fewer defects in the structure.
