PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a basis vector which leads to an excellent solution and is sufficient for calculation of NMF.SOLUTION: A plurality of input vectors are normalized and stored, a first evaluation value representing the degree of similarity is calculated on the basis of the probability distribution of first vectors selected from the stored vectors and second vectors selected from the input vectors, third vectors of the first vectors which are the most similar to the second vectors are extracted and combined to generate a basis vector subset, a coupling coefficient is calculated with a function using the first evaluation value as an exponent, a coupling coefficient for the basis vector of the basis vector subset generated by subset generation and the total value of products in every dimension of the basis vectors of the basis vector subset generated by a subset generation unit are calculated so that a normalized coupling vector is calculated, a second evaluation value representing the degree of similarity is calculated on the basis of the probability distributions of the coupling vector and the second vectors, and a winner subset is selected from the basis vector subset and is output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
