To provide a calculation technique determining system which takes into account calculation costs and changes a calculation technique, in a device for performing calculation to process input data using a network structure and weight data.SOLUTION: A calculation technique determining system includes: a pre-calculation section which executes calculation for each layer by using at least one calculation technique prepared in advance per layer of a network structure, in an execution environment where calculation is executed; a cost acquisition section which acquires a calculation cost of the at least one calculation technique per layer, on the basis of a calculation result of the pre-calculation section; a determination section which selects one calculation technique per layer on the basis of the calculation costs, among the at least one calculation techniques prepared in advance per layer, and associates a layer with one selected calculation technique; and a calculation section which executes calculation for each layer of the network structure with respect to input data, in the execution environment, by using a calculation technique associated with each layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
