triazine derivative or a salt thereof, agrochemical composition, and method for controlling weed growth in useful crops and plants. Compounds which exhibit sufficient herbicidal activity at low application dosage are described when they are applied to soils and foliage and to the agrochemical composition using them in particular herbicides. The compounds are triazine derivatives represented by the following formula wherein: r1 and r2 are independently selected from C1-6 alkyl or substituted phenyl having 1 to 5 identical or different substituents selected from the substituent group a, wherein the substituent group is an atom of hydrogen; R4 is hydroxyl; and y and z are both oxygen.
