Each receptacle is configured to accept at least one of the encircled teeth. the receptacles separate the facial portion from the lingual portion at least along an anterior portion of the body of the apparatus. The active band is configured so that the occlusal surfaces of the patient's surrounding teeth are exposed when the removable dental brace is worn by the patient with the circumferential teeth positioned in the active band.
