A ventilation diffuser for air distribution in a vehicle comprising an inlet (9) for air supply and an outlet chamber (1) with an outlet wall (2) in which there is a set of outlet openings (22). This ventilation diffuser is provided with a permeable barrier (3) which includes a set of overflow openings (32) for supplying air to the outlet chamber (1), and the outlet wall (2) is provided with routing pockets (23) for directing the air exiting the ventilation diffuser through the outlet openings (22), wherein at least some routing pockets (23) are made in such a way that the routing pocket (23) forms an open cavity on the outside of the outlet wall (2) and overlaps at least one outlet opening (22) with a distance.
