The invention provides a method and system for identifying, aggregating and transforming emotional states of a user using a temporal phase topology framework. Firstly, the method captures an emotional state of the user through one of a direct selection, a combination of sensors and one or more digital assets. The method, then, determines an emotional phase state corresponding to the emotional state of the user by performing a valence assessment, a phase assessment and a composite assessment of the captured emotional state. Thereafter, the method either aggregates a group of emotional phase states captured over a period of time to determine a medial emotional phase state or transforms the emotional phase state to a target emotional phase state and provides one or more recommendations or suggestions based on a selection of a stimulus categorized in accordance with the temporal phase topology framework corresponding to the target emotional phase state.
