The present invention provides a high temperature melt quenching system for preparing glassy alloys, comprising: at least one high temperature furnace having at least one vertically rotating ampoule holder assembly (3) with at least one speed control system, wherein said vertically rotating ampoule holder assembly provided to hold at least one ampoule tube having sample compositions and enable vertical rotation of said ampoule tube to provide uniform mixing of said sample composition; and heating elements (2) to maintain heat within said furnace for allowing said sample composition to melt at high temperature. The system further comprising quenching unit (4) provided with a cooling medium, wherein the quenching unit is thermally insulated and vertically placed below the high temperature furnace, so as to receive said ampoule tube at a rapid speed freely under the gravity and thereby provide quenching to the sample composition in the ampoule tube, so as to obtain the desired amorphous samples of said glassy alloys.
