SWEEPING BRUSH WITH PRESSURIZED AIR NOZZLES FOR STREET SWEEPING MACHINES

The present invention relates to cylindrical brushes which are used in street sweeping machines. The purpose of the invention is to provide a cylindrical brush with an intermittent impingement of high pressure air jets on the surface at a suitable inclination for ejection of light debris and dust particles. The number of impingements of high pressure air jets on the surface in each rotation of the cylindrical brush is dependent upon the number of rows of nozzles on the cylindrical brush. The time interval in impingement of high pressure air jets on the surface is dependent upon the speed of rotation of the cylindrical brush and does not require any separate control mechanism. This system cleans the surface better than the prior art by removing the light debris and dust particles trapped in cracks, crevices etc.
