The present invention provides a system for controlling torque ripple in a double inverter fed wound rotor induction machine (WRIM), wherein said WRIM is fed from a stator side inverter (5) and rotor side inverter (7), wherein said system comprising: a d-axis/q-axis controller (1) on said stator side and a V/F controller (4) on said rotor side, wherein output of said d-axis/q-axis controller (1) and said V/F controller (4) are used as input to at least two different PWM sequence (11) in said stator side inverter (5) and said rotor side inverter (7), respectively; wherein, said PWM sequence (11) adapted to generate switching logic for said stator side inverter (5) and said rotor side inverter (7), respectively, so as to reduce the torque ripple in super-synchronous mode.
