The invention relates to a process for preparing a product with antimicrobial effect on phytopathogens of tomato crops. According to the invention, the process consists in macerating a mixture of young shoots or aerial parts of the following plants: Artemisia absinthum, Salvia officinalis and Solanum lycopersicum, dried at a temperature of 45...60°C, in 70% ethanol solvent in a ratio 1:10 as compared to the powder mixture, for 96 h, at the room temperature, at dark, after which it is subjected to ultrasonication for 30 min, at a temperature of 35°C, at a power of 34 Watt, the extract is filtered, and then concentrated in order to remove the alcohol, to result in an acqueous extract with high antifungal activity against the following phytopathogens: A. alternata, R. solani, P. infestans and Pythium sp. and beneficial effect on seed germination and plantlets growth in tomatoes.
