The transparent slot-coupled cavity of road traffic noise reducing barriers is installed particularly past busy roads. The aim thereof is to attenuate noise generated on these roads and at the same time to maintain transparency of the noise-reducing barrier. The slot-coupled cavity is made of a supporting frame (3), wherein a transparent panel (1) is attached to one side of the supporting frame (3), while transparent lamellas (2) are attached at certain distances to the other side thereof, and slots (4) are created between the lamellas (2). Noise then enters through these slots into a gap (5) created between the transparent panel (1) and the transparent lamellas (2), wherein is significantly attenuated by at least one absorber (8), which is arranged in the gap in horizontal position, wherein the clot-coupled cavity transparency is always greater than 25 % of total facing thereof.
