The invention relates to a reference device and an adjustment method for manipulators, which uses a cube removably placed on a support post, the cube having multiple open faces into which are inserted one or more gauges provided with forms having a size and shape coincident with parts to be tested, with the appropriate dimensional tolerance to allow said part to be tested to enter the form, the cube comprising a codification of the position of each gauge on the faces. The invention presented has the advantages of considerably reducing the time for repairing a manipulator, ensuring that the geometry of the manipulator is correct, in a simple manner and with high precision, in a compact device without requiring adjustment, which allows gauges to be easily repositioned in different positions.
