Systems and methods for controlling a home automation system basedon identifying a user location via a Wi-Fi fingerprint are provided. Somemethods can include receiving one or more signals from a mobile device in aregion monitored by the home automation system, identifying a signalstrength of the one or more signals, based on the signal strength of the oneormore signals, identifying a Wi-Fi fingerprint to be associated with the mobiledevice, identifying known coordinates within the region that are associatedwith the Wi-Fi fingerprint to be a location of the mobile device, and based onthe location of the mobile device, identifying one or more actions to beexecuted by the home automation system.
