The invention relates to the field of organic substance processing. A method for the conversion of raw material containing organic compounds is carried out in an installation which contains a drying chamber, a hermetically sealed chamber for feeding raw material, a pyrolysis reactor, a system for independently and flexibly positioning blades, and a condensation unit. The pyrolysis reactor has a rotatable surface which is provided with at least one blade and has an axis of rotation that coincides with the longitudinal axis of the pyrolysis reactor, and at least one ablative surface of a round or elliptical cross-section perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotatable surface. The hermetically sealed chamber for feeding raw material is provided with means for heating the raw material. The working space of the pyrolysis reactor is divided into the following sequentially arranged zones in the direction of travel of the raw material, each zone having an independent heating system: a zone of primary pyrolysis, a zone for cleaning vapor-gas mixture, which is provided with a system for separating and returning insufficiently decomposed products, and a zone for secondary pyrolysis. The invention helps increase the efficiency of the process of thermochemically converting raw material containing organic compounds.
