The present invention relates to the technical field of electronics, and provided are a method for pushing information during hotel self-service and a self-service system, the method comprising: reading identity information of a user; displaying to the user the location of vacant rooms and rates for renting a room; reading a selected room of the user; determining whether a monetary amount input by the user is greater than the rate; if not, prompting the user to continue inputting the monetary amount or to cancel the monetary amount input by the user; and if the monetary amount is greater, setting the radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip needed to unlock the room selected by the user as the RFID chip of the user identity, while pushing patent information to the user. The present invention enables a customer to use self-service to conduct a hotel room check-in procedure by means of reading and verifying identity information of the customer, thereby reducing operating costs of a hotel and protecting the interests of the patentee (applicant).
