A method for adjusting a television configuration on the basis of a human face, and a television. The method comprises: recording television configuration information matching human faces and priorities of the human faces; detecting a human face when a television is turned on; and determining a television configuration matching the human face having the highest priority and automatically setting the television configuration. By presetting a matching relationship between human faces and television configurations, automatically recognizing a user watching a television, and adjusting the television configuration according to different users, the present invention enables a television to perform self-adjustment according to different users and simplifies television configuration operations.
