Provided are a compact-type high-isolation antenna for exciting orthogonal radiation of a floor, and a MIMO communication system thereof. The antenna comprises: a PCB floor having a clearance area at an edge thereof; a loop ground radiation antenna provided in the clearance area of the PCB floor and connected to a non-clearance area of the PCB floor, wherein two branches excite radiation of the PCB floor to form two resonant loops; and a symmetric monopole antenna provided above the clearance area of the PCB floor, and comprising a feeder line, a low-frequency symmetric branch and a high-frequency symmetric branch, wherein the low-frequency symmetric branch and the high-frequency symmetric branch are connected to the non-clearance area of the PCB floor by means of the feeder line, and the two branches excite radiation of the PCB floor to form two resonant passageways. Currents generated by means of the loop ground radiation antenna and the symmetric monopole antenna exciting the PCB floor at each frequency band are orthogonal. By using the orthogonality of current, the present invention can achieve high-isolation double-frequency coverage in a very limited space, wherein the isolation can reach 25dB or more.
