Disclosed in one embodiment of the present invention is a device for searching for a popular section of a video, comprising: a communication unit for receiving, from at least one external device, information on a responsiveness rate for each section of a video played by the external device or broadcasted in real-time through an image transmission device and an image reception device; and a control unit for determining at least one section of the video to be a popular section of the video on the basis of the responsiveness rate for each section of the video.
