Provided is a cooperative transport management device, which is configured as a computer which comprises a processor and a memory which stores data which is processed by the processor, and which is connected to be capable of communication with an external device. The cooperative transport management device comprises: a solicitation management unit which is configured to accept and process solicitation information and response information from the external device which relate to cooperative transport of cargo; and a cargo appraisal unit which is configured to set, on the basis of information relating to a cargo for which a response has been accepted with regard to a solicitation for a given cooperative transport, a solicited cargo condition which is a condition with regard to the cargo for which the response is accepted with regard to the solicitation. The solicitation management unit records, as solicitation information which is accepted from the external device, information of the shipping date, place of origin, and destination of the cargo, and information which relates to the weight and volume of the cargo, and upon accepting from the external device a new response with regard to the cooperative transport of cargo, acquires solicitation information to which a response is possible, from the information of the cargo shipping date, place of origin, and destination which are included in the response information, together with the solicitation information. The cargo appraisal unit: from the information included in the response information which relates to the weight and volume of the cargo, and the information included in the solicitation information which relates to the weight and volume of the cargo, computes the total weight and total volume of the cargoes; computes a volumetric weight which is obtainable by applying a prescribed conversion formula to the total volume and converting said total volume to weight; updates the solicited cargo condition such that a relation between the total weight and the volumetric weight of the cargo is within a prescribed range; and includes same in the relevant solicitation condition.
