Behaviours of cooperative agents to optimize the workflow management in a Transport Multimodal Information System

Transport users require relevant, interactive and instantaneous information during their travels. A Transport Multimodal Information System (TMIS) can propose them a support tool in order to make available the needed information. However, such applications extend increasingly on huge networks, employing heterogeneous and voluminous data sources located on geographically separated sites and proposing a great selection of services with different prices, data formats and total response times. Through such networks, several actions (navigation, requests, storage, update, etc) can be launched intensely in a simultaneous way, requiring the access to a number of heterogeneous and distant data sources. In this paper, we describe main agent's behaviour in a proposed Multi-Agent architecture which illustrates efficiently the complex character of a TMIS. The proposed system optimizes the transport workflow management through the network thanks to a two-level optimization approach, using mobile agents.
