Provided is a paper sheet handling device, comprising: an insertion port wherein a paper sheet is inserted; a conveyance mechanism which conveys the paper sheet which has been inserted through the insertion port; and rectification members which comprise elastic deforming parts with which the paper sheet having been inserted into the insertion port makes contact and which rectify, by use of elastic force exerted by the elastic deforming parts, the conveyance direction of the paper sheet having been inserted from the insertion port. The rectification members have been positioned at positions on both sides of the insertion port in the width direction thereof in line with the paper surface of the paper sheet which has been inserted into the insertion port and/or positions facing both sides of the insertion port in the width direction thereof upon the conveyance path of the paper sheet which has been inserted from the insertion port.
