According to the present invention, phase dispersion values, which indicate degrees of dispersions of surrounding phases at each location, are calculated on the basis of the phase of an excitatory wave at each of the locations of living tissues which act according to excitation as an excitatory wave propagates within the tissues, and an analysis map is created on the basis of at least a portion of time series of the phase dispersion values at each of the locations. Since the phase dispersion values indicate degrees of dispersion of the surrounding phases, a location, at which the degrees of dispersion of surrounding phases are large, can be accepted as a revolution center of a revolution excitatory wave. In addition, the degrees of dispersion of the surrounding phases can indicate the possibility of whether the revolution center precedes the time or follows the time. Accordingly, the analysis map can be created for performing an analysis of a revolution excitatory wave.
