The present invention relates to uses of 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2B (HTR2B) and neuropeptide Y as a marker for predicting stem cell differentiation and, more specifically, to a marker composition for predicting stem cell differentiation comprising a substance measuring mRNA expression or protein expression of an HTR2B gene and a method for predicting differentiation of stem cells using the same; or a marker composition for predicting stem cell differentiation comprising a substance measuring mRNA expression or protein expression of a neuropeptide Y gene and a method for predicting differentiation of stem cells using the same. According to the present invention, it is confirmed that HTR2B and neuropeptide Y can be used as a stem cell differentiation prediction marker, and thus it is possible to predict the differentiation of various stem cells in an undifferentiated state rather than differentiated cells into cardiac cells or nerve cells, and to provide the possibility of using undifferentiated stem cells as a selective cell therapy agent.
